How to fix TIFF files with multiple pages only showing one page

If you are on a windows machine of a newer date you may experience that TIFF files only show one page even though you know the file has several pages.

Ths fix is quite simple, for some reason the Photos app does not support multipage tiff files, but the old windows image viewer does. So just open it with “Windows photo viewer” instead. If you need detailed instructions, read below.

1: Locate any .tiff or .tif file on your computer.

2: Right-click on the file.

3: From the context menu that appears, hover over or select Open with.

4: Then click on Choose another app.

5: A list of apps will appear. Select Windows Photo Viewer.

If using windows 10:

6: Click on Windows Photo Viewer, then check the box that says Always use this app to open .tiff files.

7: Click OK to set it as your default viewer.

If using windows 11:

6: Click Always
