Writing about myself feels very selfobsessed and narcissistic to me, but if I expect people to trust me and read what I have to say it is probably not unreasonale that I also tell you a little bit about myself, so here I am doing it anyway. I don’t really like attention, but I love sharing, so it really is a tradeoff.

So welcome to 10BPX, which is short for tenbillionpixels*, which is my little site on the internet.
I am Anders, I am a quite normal Danish man who happens to have some hobbies that I like to share. The first one is photography, and the second is exploring the world. My desire to share these hobbies have resulted in the creation of this site.

I have set myself the arbitrary goal of visiting 60 countries before i turn 60. At the time of writing there are 15 years and 33 countries to go, so it is still doable, but it would be easier if I did not have a 9-5. Though I do really enjoy my job, which is computerstuff, so if you look carefully you will find a section of this page where I post random tips and tricks for fixing IT problems. While it is not really what I like talking about the most it brings in quite a lot of visitors, so it helps keeping the costs of the site down.

And yes I am one of those photographer types who has an interest in all the technical stuff like exposure, focus length, depth of field and all of that, but really it is all a means to an end, and I have seen loads of awesome photos people have taken without any knowledge of those terms, maybe even just with a phone. I actually do believe that all the technique can even sometimes be a hindrance.

I have recently started a small sidehustle here on the site where I sell prints and give away desktop/mobile wallpapers for free. It is truly scary for me to ask people to like my stuff, but here we are. I have no idea if anyone is intersted in these, but sometimes you just have to take a chance on yourself and see what happens.

* If you should be wondering what is up with that weird title it is a) because most of what I do and write about has a lot of pixels and b) ever since the legendary website k10k I have been kinda obsessed with names like this.
